Who is Christopher J. Clarke, Esq.?

Chris is a third-generation lawyer focusing on business and trusts & estates disputes. He also handles estate & trust planning and administration matters. He serves as Of Counsel to Cooke & Clarke, Attorneys at Law, a firm established in 1957 by his grandfather, John A. Cooke, and continued today by his father, Hon. Lance D. Clarke. In this capacity, Chris handles landlord & tenant, municipal matters, and real estate matters. His experience has proven valuable and provides a unique perspective on how to find the best solution for his clients.

Chris’ academic journey includes a law degree from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. He had the distinct honor of serving on its Law Review. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Skidmore College. This degree laid a strong foundation for his legal career.

Chris is admitted to practice in the State of New York. He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

Chris’ commitment to the legal and not-for-profit communities is clear in his board memberships. He is a board member of Legal Services of Long Island, formerly known as Nassau Suffolk Law Services. He is also a board member of the Nassau County Bar Association (NCBA) and former advisory board member for the NCBA’s charitable arm, the We Care Fund. Additionally, Chris serves as President of the Board of South Huntington Youth Lacrosse (SHYLAX) and former Assistant Director of SHYLAX’s girls’ program. His past roles include serving as a member of the House of Delegates of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) and membership chair of NYSBA’s Commercial and Federal Litigation Section; board member of South Shore Guidance Center, part of the EPIC Family of Human Service Agencies, serving as Vice President; and board member of the Lutheran Church of the Epiphany, Hempstead.
